Peace and stability are crucial for Africa's future and sustainable development, with dialogue and diplomacy, including informal diplomatic engagement, being essential to addressing conflicts, violence, political instability, and extremism.

Education, Health & Empowerment
Africa's youthful population makes education and capacity building key to tackling the youth jobs crisis and achieving sustainable development. Further progress on health and empowering youth will help unlock the continent's potential and meet the 2030 goals.
DEVELOPMENT
Resilience, Sustainability, Financing
Sustainable development in Africa, home to many of the world's poorest and most climate-vulnerable nations, depends on equitable financing and reform of the Bretton Woods global financial systems to address debt burdens, enhance resilience, promote responsible resource use, and support the energy transition.

Founded in 2024, the Macky Sall Foundation P2D will focus its engagements and activities on:
Good Offices
Offer the good offices of MSF-P2D to Africa’s leadership and the international community to promote peace and stability through effective dialogue and global cooperation.
- Peace Support: Advising and supporting African leaders on national and regional dialogues on political, economic and social issues.
- Partnership Support: Advising and supporting Africa’s international partners, including non-regional governments, international organizations, on effective collaboration avenues in the domains of peace, sustainable development, health and education.
Advocacy
Galvanize political will and stakeholder support behind critical issues facing Africa’s peace and champion key solutions to advance peace and development.
- Annual Africa Peace & Prosperity Forum: Hosting regional leadership-level forums bringing together African leaders and partners to review progress, share experiences and guide priorities for peace and sustainable development in Africa.
- Voice & Agenda: Actively and consistently championing and promoting solutions to overcome key challenges facing Africa’s peace, and its development, health and education sectors.
Analytics
Analyze trends and solutions and address critical knowledge gaps through the development of tools and knowledge in the domains of peace and development in Africa.
- Annual Report on Africa Peace & Development: Publishing a flagship report of the foundation, focused on the state and trends of peace and sustainable development in Africa.
- Tools & Policy Papers: Commissioning focused and targeted issue-specific analytical tools and thought papers by experts/expert groups based on emerging priorities for peace and development in Africa.
Empowerment
Cultivate excellence in innovation for peace and development in Africa, by empowering leading young African social entrepreneurs and upcoming generations of African leaders.
- Fellowships: Developing a Fellowship program provide dedicated support to rising young African leaders, particularly women, that are already contributing to the peaceful and sustainable development of Africa.
- Africa Youth Forum for Peace & Prosperity: Launching a platform for convening African youth focused on overcoming key challenges to peace and sustainable development in Africa.
- Innovation Award: Creating of an Innovation Award for peace and development in Africa that specifically seeks to identify and promote leading young African social entrepreneurs and innovators to further advance their work.
- Community Projects: Support action-focused projects in vulnerable African communities, prioritizing public benefit projects led by woman and youth that deliver economic, environmental, social and/or health benefits for marginalized populations.
