At the invitation of the Saudi authorities, President Macky Sall took part in the Riyadh Global Forum on Cybersecurity on October 1–2, 2025.
This initiative was launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in February 2020, during its presidency of the G20. Under the auspices of the National Cybersecurity Authority, the Riyadh Forum has become an annual international event that brings together in Riyadh public and private decision-makers, experts, and professionals to exchange views on the major contemporary challenges of cybersecurity and cyber governance.
The Forum is intended to serve as a space for dialogue among policymakers, businesses, researchers, and civil society, to promote international cooperation and the establishment of shared standards to secure cyberspace, ensure digital inclusion, strengthen resilience against cyberattacks, and protect fundamental rights.
The theme of this year’s edition is: “Advancing Concerted Progress in Cyberspace.”
On the opening day of the Forum, President Sall chaired a panel on cyber diplomacy in a fragmented world, under the theme: “Gaining Consensus Amid Complexity.”

À l’invitation des autorités saoudiennes, le Président Macky Sall a pris part les 1e et 2 octobre 2025 au Forum mondial de Riyad sur la cyber sécurité.
Cette initiative a été lancée par l’Arabie Saoudite en février 2020 pendant sa présidence du G20. Placé sous l’égide de l’Autorité nationale de cyber sécurité, le Forum de Riyad est un événement international annuel qui réunit à Riyad des décideurs publics et privés, experts et professionnels pour échanger sur les grands défis contemporains de la cyber sécurité et de la gouvernance du cyberespace.
Le Forum a pour vocation d’être un espace de dialogue entre décideurs, entreprises, chercheurs et société civile, promouvoir la coopération internationale et la mise en place de normes partagées pour sécuriser le cyberespace, assurer l’inclusion numérique, renforcer la résilience face aux cyberattaques et protéger les droits fondamentaux.
Cette édition a pour thème : “Développer des progrès concertés dans le cyberspace.”
Au premier jour du Forum le Président Sall a animé un panel sur la cyber diplomatie dans un monde fragmenté, autour du thème : “Parvenir à un consensus dans la complexité”.
